December 2016 North American PCB Sales Grew Steadily
IPC - International Electronics Industry Association today released the "December 2016 North American PCB
Industry Research Report". The report shows that PCB sales grew steadily in December, but orders shipped fell
to 0.98.
December 2016 North American PCB total shipments, compared with the same period in 2015, an increase of 5.9%;
year-to-date shipments increased by 2.9%; compared with last month, December The shipments increased by 12.3%.
In 2016, North American PCB orders fell 2.2% year-on-year in December, resulting in a -0.7% increase in orders
from the beginning of the year. Compared with the previous month, orders for December increased 11.6%.
"The PCB sales and orders in North America grew in December, but orders were still below the same period last
year," said Sharon Starr, director of market research at IPC. "Order shipments are two consecutive months at
negative Value range, which is a seasonal factor, do not worry .2017 early orders are expected to resume growth.
